Celebrate Black History Month with this engaging and informative performance with musician/actor/historian Clarence Goodman. "Going to Chicago!" were the words composed, sung, and lived by African Americans during the Great Migration. From share-cropper to share-holder and from the shotgun shack to the White House, Chicago's black experience is vast, rich, and inspiring.

This event is part of the Black History Month event series sponsored by the Historical Society of Forest Park, the Illinois Juneteenth Committee, Forest Park Against Racism, and the Forest Park Public Library. Learn more about the series and other resources at fppl.org/blackhistorymonth.
