Event Details

We are kicking off the summer program Forest Park Together by holding a food drive for local organization Beyond Hunger. 

Beyond Hunger provides hunger-relief programming and services to 13 Zip codes across Cook County (including Forest Park). They offer food, resources, knowledge, and skills to help people live healthy, active lives. 

We will be collecting food in The Commons on the Main Level. Feel free to drop of items anytime during the Library open hours. 

Please bring in unopened, unexpired non-perishable food like:
  • canned beans
  • peanut butter and other nut butters
  • oatmeal
  • canned fruits and vegetables
  • canned or boxed soups
  • pasta
  • quinoa
  • rice
  • canned stews
  • chicken, beef, or vegetable stock
  • olive oil
  • salad dressings
