Event Details

This is an in-person event.

This Kwanzaa Celebration introduces to some, and makes real to others, the symbols and principles of Kwanzaa. In this performance we learn about Nguzo Saba--Unity, Self-determination, Collection work and responsibility, Co-operative economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith. During Kwanzaa (First Fruits) we celebrate our first fruits (Children) and begin to instill the Nguzo Saba (7 Principles). This presentation will be accompanied by African drumming, shekere playing, and enhanced by audience participation, which may include singing and playing instruments. Come learn, participate, and have fun!  Designed for children of all ages and their families.

COVID Safety Note
We ask in-person participants over the age of 2 to mask and distance inside the program room for safety since not all participants may be vaccinated.
