Event Details

Join the Village of Forest Park and the Forest Park Public Library for this informative program.

We have all heard the battle cry, "Plant Milkweed for Monarchs!" Will just planting milkweed fix the problem of the diminished numbers of the migrating population of Monarchs? What else can we do to help this iconic insect? Learn from naturalist Kim White about monarchs and the best way to help them.

Forest Park is taking part in the Mayors' Monarch Pledge to take action in saving monarch butterflies. Through the National Wildlife Federation's Mayors' Pledge, US communities can commit to creating habitats for monarchs and other pollinators.

Milkweed seeds will be available for participants.
